Vice President at Manning Personnel Group, Inc. - Making Every Recruiting Experience Memorable A financial services company in Boston is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This role reports directly to the Controller and collaborates with individuals at various levels within the company. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the monthly financial close, preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP, and conducting high-level financial analysis. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, flexible, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Base Pay Range $90,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, perform journal entries, account reconciliations, and support the preparation of annual financial statements

Perform detailed account reconciliations for the general ledger

Assist with purchasing functions utilizing the company’s automated purchasing platform

Prepare and maintain various account reconciliations – credit card, fixed assets, accruals, payroll, and others

Assist with preparation for financial reporting, including analyzing financial results and investigating variances

Assist with the design and implementation of processes and internal controls

Process payroll using ADP Workforce Now

Account for employee expense reimbursements

Collaborate with operations and other staff on as-needed basis

Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

3+ years of accounting experience.

Public accounting experience and CPA is preferred

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Experience preparing or reviewing SEC filings

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel as well as experience with accounting software

Ability to function in a rapidly changing environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism

Exposure to system implementation projects is a plus
