High Level PROJECT MANAGER
Patriot Construction, Inc. is a rapidly growing federal, government and military construction company based in the Bay Area. We are seeking a high‑level Project Manager experienced in Design‑Build Federal Contracting to lead projects on time, on budget and in compliance with safety, quality and contractual standards.
Basic Functions The Project Manager delivers small and large scale Federal Construction Projects, develops and directs all activities related to the Project Life Cycle, and ensures alignment of schedule, cost, scope, safety and quality.
Responsibilities
Define, control and document project scope, schedule and cost.
Collaborate with clients, internal departments and outside consultants throughout all project phases to negotiate cost‑effective subcontracts and procure materials.
Set up and implement job procedures and techniques to ensure timely buy‑out, shop drawing approval and material delivery.
Maintain accurate reporting to management of cost forecasting and construction progress.
Organize and facilitate regular meetings for management and subcontractors.
Manage multiple projects across various phases of the project life cycle.
Act as the single point of contact and be accountable for all project aspects.
Maintain high client interaction and professionalism.
Keep projects on schedule and coordinate safety plans with the Superintendent.
Train and supervise project teams in accordance with company policy and project needs.
Ensure compliance with all contract terms.
Document significant project events and respond promptly to problems, e.g., accidents, delays, change orders.
Proactively identify issues and facilitate solutions.
Direct pre‑construction services and activities.
Negotiate, prepare, and issue subcontract bid packages.
Write, execute contracts, close out, and obtain permits.
Coordinate mobilization trailers, utilities and file set‑up.
Skills & Qualifications
DOD/Naval experience.
Experience in medical facilities construction.
B.S. degree in engineering or construction management or 10 years of direct experience.
Minimum 5 years in the construction industry with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor.
Minimum 3 years of government contracting experience.
Experience estimating and managing self‑performed work and subcontract work.
Effective written and spoken English communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work as a solid team player.
Understanding of construction methods for renovating commercial and institutional buildings and related site work.
Working knowledge of civil, architectural, mechanical and electrical work.
High proficiency with spreadsheets, email and construction industry software.
Current safety credentials: OSHA 30, 1st Aid and CPR.
Current CQM certification issued by USACE/NAVFAC.
