Senior Staff Engineer – Motion Recruitment
A leading global financial services organization is expanding its Commercial Services technology group in Phoenix, AZ. This full‑time, direct‑hire position is based on the Desert Ridge campus (3 days onsite). The business unit focuses on all B2B and commercial products—an area experiencing rapid growth.
This is a highly visible role for someone who thrives on technical leadership without people‑management duties. You’ll guide architectural strategy, mentor senior engineers, and champion innovation across distributed systems and enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate brings curiosity, creativity, and deep engineering expertise, and will gain exposure to global‑scale systems and collaboration with top‑tier engineers.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of software engineering experience
Strong experience with Java (or Kotlin), JavaScript, and React.js
Proven hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins)
Background in designing and architecting distributed, cloud‑native systems
Familiarity with both RDBMS and NoSQL (PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Couchbase)
Excellent communication and mentorship skills
Desired Skills & Experience
Prior experience leading architecture or modernization initiatives
Strong understanding of data engineering or AI/analytics integration
Cloud certification (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience in large‑scale, global enterprise environments
What You Will Be Doing
70% Java / React development
30% Cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP, Kubernetes, CI/CD)
Daily Responsibilities
50% Hands‑On Development
