This is a place to make a difference in the world.**The Role & What You Will Be Doing**Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the **Data Science & Statistical Programming Lead** role will make an impact:**Technical & Programming Expertise*** Develop or oversee the development of customized reports and applications in R for monitoring and exploration of clinical trial data* Identify, design, and implement technical solutions that improve efficiency and scalability, leading initiatives from proof of concept to business adoption to deliver measurable value**Leadership & People Development*** Lead, mentor and develop a team of technical programmers/developers and data scientists* Mentor and collaborate with colleagues across biometry functions on technical initiatives**Operational Excellence & Innovation*** Lead the continuous improvement and implementation of programming processes, workflows and tools, in close collaboration with biometry team leaders* Establish and promote best practices for coding standards, version control, and automation across biometry teams* Stay current on emerging technologies, industry standards, and innovations in programming and data science* Business owner for Data Science platform (e.g., POSIT)**Strategic & Cross-Function Partnership*** Collaborate closely with clinical science, data management and programming teams to identify and prioritize projects* Advocate for and support the adoption of modern programming approaches (e.g., R, Python) in biometry, including organizing training for department members**About Your Skills & Experience**For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:* Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, or related field* 10+ years within a pharmaceutical company or CRO (required).* 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership role (preferred)* Proven ability to program statistical analyses with deep knowledge of processes and procedures* **R Programming:** Extensive R programming experience, including packages like *dplyr* and *ggplot2** **R Shiny:** Hands-on expertise in building interactive dashboards and reports (bindings, DataObj registration, performance optimization, promises, single-threading)* Experience in SAS, Python, or JavaScript is a plus* Ability to create reproducible reports using RMarkdown or similar.* **Standards & Compliance:** Advanced understanding of CDISC (SDTM, ADaM), ICH-GCP, 21 CFR Part 11, and international clinical research regulations.* **Technical Knowledge:** Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS) and strong analytical skills to manage multiple projects.* **Soft Skills:** Excellent presentation, interpersonal skills, and collaborative communication style; English proficiency at an advanced level.**What we offer*** Friendly working atmosphere in a great team, Great Place to Work certified* Home office option up to 2 days per week* Development opportunities within an international companyBei Viatris, bieten wir wettbewerbsfähige Gehälter, Sozialleistungen und ein integratives Umfeld, in dem Sie Ihre Erfahrungen, Perspektiven und Fähigkeiten einsetzen können, um das Leben anderer zu beeinflussen.#LI-DNI #J-18808-Ljbffr
