Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment with 36-hour weekly guarantee
• 100 mile radius rule applies
• Current New York State RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (must obtain PALS within 6 months if not already certified)
• MEDITECH experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must be graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Minimum one year of acute care nursing experience required for entry level positions
• Critical care and charge experience preferred
• Must complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation period
• Must obtain defibrillation certification within six months of employment
• Must be IV, medication, and phlebotomy certified during orientation
• Ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations required
• Must function well in stressful situations with strong problem-solving skills
• May be required to assume charge nurse duties
• Must assess and implement safe patient lifting techniques
• Provide comprehensive patient care including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs assessment
