Job Summary
Assistant Field Hockey Coach – part‑time position (August 1 2025 – April 30 2026) with Colgate University Athletics. Responsibilities include assisting the field hockey team at practices, competitions, skill instruction, program operations, scouting, analytics, camps, recruitment, and student‑athlete leadership.
Compensation $25.00/hr – $30.00/hr
Benefits Sick leave, paid time off, free parking, access to fitness facilities and events, campus Bookstore discounts. Max 999 hours per year; appointment may lapse after exceeding this limit.
Responsibilities
Assist the field hockey team during practices and competitions.
Adhere to the Head Coach’s philosophy; provide athletic instruction and coaching.
Handle program operations and administration as designated.
Perform game scouting and coding of opponents; conduct post‑game analytics.
Assist with camps and clinics; support student‑athlete recruitment.
Model behaviors and leadership for student‑athletes.
Qualifications
1–3 years of coaching or participation experience in field hockey.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Valid driver’s license.
Work Schedule Summer: Aug – Nov – 25 hrs/week; Winter: Feb – Apr – 18 hrs/week.
