Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program preferred.
Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license preferred.
X-ray certification required (if applicable in your state).
CPR certification preferred.
Previous experience working in a dental office or healthcare setting preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in dental software and electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures by ensuring they are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Assist dentists and hygienists during dental procedures by handing them instruments, providing suction, and other chairside assistance as needed.
- Take and develop dental x-rays, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Perform various laboratory duties, including pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and processing dental impressions.
- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide instructions for post-operative care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and digital x-rays.
- Schedule patient appointments and assist with billing and insurance-related tasks as needed.
- Uphold HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality at all times.
- Assist with administrative duties, such as answering phones, greeting patients, and managing patient files.
