External contacts include transportation agency partners, service contractors, government officials, vendors, technical consultants, and community and industry collaborators involved in projects or technology transferPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: * Oversee day‐to‐day operational activities for the center, including research, logistics, scheduling, facility management, and compliance reporting.* Manage budgets and resources, reconcile expenditures, and allocate funds for various projects. Supervise support staff, student workers, and support hiring, training, and evaluation processes. Implement and monitor procedures and regulations in line with university and federal requirements.* Develop and maintain relationships with internal departments and external partners to address transportation program needs.* Support grant research, reporting, technology transfer, and outreach initiatives, ensuring operational goals align with broader UTC objectives.* Collect and analyze operational data, prepare reports, and recommend improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.CORE COMPETENCIES:* Research Background* Operational management and strategic planning. At least two years of professional experience. Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Experience supervising staff or student teams preferred. Knowledge of transportation systems and university operations is strongly desirable.
