The Sales Leader, DSO East is responsible for leading, managing, and developing the team of Field Managers to drive growth of the full portfolio of Wella brands including Wella, Sebastian, Nioxin, OPI, and ghd in Professional Beauty Accounts (salons and schools). They will oversee and lead the direct selling organization and oversee the execution of key initiatives and promotional calendars as well as local events to drive engagement with key customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver sales targets and increase market share by leading the team to achieve sales KPIs and implementing education and marketing strategies in alignment with Wella Company’s key strategies.
Maintain sales volume and portfolio aligned with local education and marketing plans without compromising brand equity.
Analyze and evaluate sales performance against company investments by region.
Ensure corporate objectives and budgets are communicated and met.
Manage team recruiting, selecting, onboarding, developing, and performance reviews.
Develop talent and build capability through field visits, team meetings, and one on ones to help others advance skills through on-the-job learning.
Partner with education to deliver curriculum to accounts live as well as via digital/social tools that reach stylists and consumers.
Cascade sales, education, and marketing strategies to the organization and engage team with the overall vision.
Establish sales objectives by establishing proper forecasting of sales goals for the organization.
Drive and lead digital outreach and capabilities, enabling the organization to be digitally savvy.

Effective prospecting and sales skills
Experience in using a consultative approach to business development

Ability to work with all levels of the organization
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree plus 9+ years (or MBA) of business experience in Sales leadership, Category Management, or Retail Management
Strong leadership skills to develop top talent, engage organization, share vision and motivate team.
Strong communication skills to engage team in vision but also represent the channel to internal teams.
Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and organizational/time management skills. Power BI experience strongly desired.
Ability to critically think through and solve problems both independently and in conjunction with internal partners
Effective oral and written communication skills
Proficient in the following systems: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to work with all levels of the organization
50%+ travel required within sales region + at least 3-4 trips required per year for sales conferences, capability sessions, and industry events. Ability to travel via air is required.
Professional Beauty Experience
We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, skills and in comparison to internal incumbents currently in similar roles. Pay Range: $140k - $170k salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company’s total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
