ABOUT THE TEAM Anduril’s Manufacturing Technology Team is seeking a Sr. Automation and Robotics Integration Specialist to join our team. The Maritime Manufacturing Technology Team is responsible for rapidly developing and implementing manufacturing materials, technologies and processes for cutting-edge defense hardware, including deployable static and moving surface, undersea and sea to air vehicles and scaling these products in our new manufacturing facilities.
ABOUT THE JOB As a Sr. Automation and Robotics Integration Specialist, you will be involved with integrating robotic welding systems that will drive to efficient, rapid, on-time production and start-up of the production builds for the new maritime vehicles. The right person for this role has developed experience with automated robotic technologies across multiple platforms for a variety of product lines, groups, or businesses and integrated with both internal and external customers. WHAT YOU’LL DO
Automate, innovate, and integrate industry leading robotic applications with manufacturing technology team’s solutions for new welding processes supporting product and factory development, the future production system creation, keeping digital thread, lean manufacturing principles, integrated metrology processes top of mind, including technologies to improve production flow while enhancing product performance, space allocation and resource requirements across programs and products.
Create solutions in product and production system design to ensure the most cost- and schedule-effective solutions for our factories that meets the needs of our products.
Support design, construction, commissioning and start-up of the production systems at new factory sites, ensuring successful delivery of the factory and products off the line.
Provide technical feedback on product processes, materials and technologies. Buy down risk to meet production performance and timelines in new facilities.
Work hands-on to expedite project completion
Collaborate with product design, manufacturing engineering, operations, facilities and construction, environmental safety & health, and finance to deliver creative and effective production system solutions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years of experience setting up, integrating, and troubleshooting automated robotic systems to support processes technology development, manufacturing engineering, and/or production/process engineering.
Technology development experience in robotics, automation, end effector design, and process improvement.
Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment, next to operations and manufacturing engineering to understand and optimize the production system.
Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior work with engineering partners and/or contractors to build, improve or modify automated production systems
Process improvement, including justification of return on investment for process or operational changes
Application of lean manufacturing and linear flow principles in a production environment
Metallurgical, welding, automation and materials development for manufacturing processes in fabrication, assembly, integration, test, and finishing operations
SALARY RANGE $129,000 — $171,000 USD
