About the Team The Maritime Manufacturing Technology Team focuses on scaling new manufacturing facilities to produce defense hardware at speed and scale, ensuring seamless integration of robotic welding systems and other automated processes.

About the Job As a Sr. Automation and Robotics Integration Specialist you will design, integrate, and support robotic welding and automation systems that enable efficient, on‑time production of maritime vehicles. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and contractor partners to deliver unified solutions that meet product and factory needs.

Responsibilities

Automate, innovate, and integrate industry‑leading robotic applications with manufacturing technology team solutions for new welding processes, supporting product and factory development.

Create cost‑ and schedule‑effective solutions for factories that meet product requirements.

Support design, construction, commissioning, and start‑up of production systems at new factory sites.

Provide technical feedback on product processes, materials, and technologies, reducing risk to meet performance and timelines.

Work hands‑on to expedite project completion.

Collaborate with product design, manufacturing engineering, operations, facilities, environmental safety & health, and finance to deliver effective production system solutions.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience setting up, integrating, and troubleshooting automated robotic systems across multiple platforms.

Technology development experience in robotics, automation, end‑effector design, and process improvement.

Hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment working alongside operations and manufacturing engineering.

Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export‑controlled information or facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior work with engineering partners or contractors to build, improve, or modify automated production systems.

Process improvement experience with ROI justification for operational changes.

Application of lean manufacturing and linear flow principles in production environments.

Experience with metallurgical, welding, automation, and materials development for fabrication, assembly, integration, test, and finishing operations.

Salary Range $129,000—$171,000 USD (inclusive of base salary only; equity may be included in total compensation.)
