As a Dental Assistant you will: Prepare, sterilize, disinfect, and maintain dental equipment, instruments, and supplies Collect and record patient health histories, take impressions and x-rays Ensure patient comfort during dental procedures Prepare dental materials (cements, amalgam, composite, impression materials, etc.) Complete charting of treatment information in the patients' dental notes from the doctor as directed Assist doctor in management of medical and dental emergencies Cleans/polishes removable devices; fabricate temporary restorations, custom trays, study models Deliver postoperative and general oral care instructions to patient Maintain infection control procedures, patient privacy, and professional interactions with patients and staff Assist administrative team with customer service functions Present treatment plans to patients What We're Looking For: High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Program or dental assistant experience preferred Previous customer service or office experience Proficiency or the ability to become proficient within 90 days in dental terminology and dental software for charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, etc. Strong verbal and written communication skills Foster a positive attitude and be a team player Patient Care Hours: Monday 7:30am to 4:30pm Tuesday 7:30am to 4:30pm Wednesday 8:00am to 5:00pm Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm #J-18808-Ljbffr
