***We are moving our headquarters to Eagan in 2025! This role is based at our current HQ in Bloomington but will move to Eagan in 2025.***
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for assisting the Project Management group in overall administration, planning, installation and reporting for small or larger more complex low voltage electrical construction projects.
Assist Project Manager in supervising general foremen, foremen and their crews in a manner as to comply with contracts executed by ECSI, union agreements, and all policies and procedures established by the Company.
Maintain and develop good customer relations.
Manage assigned projects as economically as possible while recognizing a company commitment to quality workmanship, positive industry image and customer satisfaction.
Assist in preparing, processing and maintaining all files, correspondence, schedules, reports, and billing necessary to perform the responsibilities of the contract.
Responsible for purchasing, engineering, subletting and installation.
Coordinate and oversee vendors and subcontractors and schedule construction activities, including material procurement for construction.
Track project development and productivity including managing electrical cable routing and termination information, creating project progress reports and perimeters and create schedules for filed installation.
Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
Participate as a team member during the bidding process as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Two (2) year degree in electrical construction, construction management or similar discipline required with Bachelor’s degree preferred or combination of education and equivalent experience.
National Electrical Code knowledge/experience.
Drawing/blueprint reading and specification experience.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word computer skills. Microsoft Project and CAD experience a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
$61,750-$80,750+ discretionary bonus + employee ownership + benefits.
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only. In addition to base compensation, Hunt Electric offers a robust benefits plan.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines.
This position is occasionally required to be present on construction job sites and may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, uneven terrain, vibration, and noise, requiring the occasional use of a hard hat, work boots, high visibility vest, eye protection and gloves.
Employees are frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch or crawl.
This position requires the ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
This position may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
