National Dentex is a leading healthcare organization specializing in dental products and services. We operate 50 labs nationwide and are seeking talented individuals for key positions, including the Shipping & Receiving Specialist.
Job Details Location:
NDX Mt. Vernon, Mt. Vernon, NY . Regular hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:30 PM. Full-time with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, paid holidays, vacation, sick time, 401(k) with company contribution, and tuition reimbursement.
Primary Responsibilities
Enter prescription information via data entry to schedule cases.
Schedule each case received.
Enter demographics and customer information through LIS.
Print preference notes matching to case.
Bill and invoice all finished cases and sort/attach.
Answer incoming calls.
Make outgoing calls to customer offices.
Respond to all inquiries from customer offices.
Secondary Responsibilities
Unpack and sanitize new work as needed following instruction and wearing protective gear.
Sort and attach doctor prescriptions.
Properly pack all completed cases.
Verify and properly consolidate all cases to prepare for shipping.
Utilize UPS and FedEx software and maintain database integrity and account naming procedures.
Disburse cases for local drivers.
Maintain proper level of assembled shipping boxes.
All other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
Computer skills.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Strong attention to detail.
Multi‑task.
Phone etiquette.
Minimum Education and Experience
Preferred high school diploma or GED.
Demonstrated relevant employment experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Dental office experience preferred.
Dental terminology knowledge preferred.
Billing experience preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used
Disinfectant process chemicals.
Personal protective equipment as required.
Office equipment.
Physical Requirements
Sit, stand, walk, and/or reach regularly.
Fine motor skills and repetitive motions.
Good manual dexterity.
Walk and stand for long periods.
Bending and kneeling repeatedly.
May be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 20 pounds.
