Maintenance Technician - North LA 7th Street
Westland Real Estate Group is seeking a skilled, hands‑on problem‑solver to join our team as a Maintenance Technician in Long Beach, CA.
Position Overview:
As a Maintenance Technician, you are the hero of our property. You handle routine upkeep to urgent repairs, ensuring residents have a safe, comfortable home. This role requires on‑call after‑hours emergency response on a rotating schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of hands‑on maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting to resolve resident work orders.
Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by completing necessary repairs, painting, and fixture installations.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and grounds.
Provide outstanding customer service to residents, communicating professionally and completing service requests promptly.
Qualifications
1‑2+ years of hands‑on maintenance experience in a residential or similar setting.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
Ability to participate in rotating on‑call schedule for after‑hours emergencies.
Physical ability to lift over 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
For higher levels (II, III, IV): Advanced experience (3‑6+ years) and/or specialized certifications (HVAC, Electrical, etc.) desirable for higher‑level positions.
