Academic Cytopathologist – Department of Pathology, University of California, San Francisco
The Department of Pathology at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking an outstanding candidate for a full‑time faculty position as an Academic Cytopathologist. The appointment level may be Clinical Instructor, Health Sciences Clinical, or Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, Health Sciences Clinical or Clinical X Series. The incumbent will participate in night and weekend surgical pathology call, departmental teaching activities for medical students, house staff, fellows, and interdepartmental conferences.
Qualifications
MD degree (or equivalent) and valid California medical license (or eligibility to obtain one at appointment).
Board certified in Anatomic Pathology and board eligible or certified in Cytopathology (documented in application).
Preference for candidates with formal fellowship training in surgical pathology or related subspecialty, comparable experience, publications, and demonstrated participation in clinical and/or translational research.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Compensation The salary is commensurate with experience and training and is based on the UC salary scales. The minimum base salary range for this position is $106,000 – $405,900, with eligibility for additional compensation through the health sciences compensation plan.
