Role Overview The Production Supervisor ensures the consistent achievement of the production schedule, safely and on‑time delivery of quality product to our customers. The Production Supervisor executes the production plan and supervises the Team Leads and hourly associates throughout the shift, oversees multiple activities simultaneously, and takes ownership of the output of leads and associates. They are accountable for all machinery, equipment, and processes and work closely with other functions to execute plant‑wide initiatives.

Work Environment University Park, IL – 2nd Shift 2:30 pm – 11:30 pm CST, Monday‑Friday.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise operations to achieve higher output and optimum efficiency.

Monitor daily production and quality control records, identify inefficiencies, and take corrective action.

Work with the team to develop a daily work schedule and adjust workflow as needed.

Coordinate and monitor flow of production orders, forecast work, and identify potential workflow problems.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality and professional standards.

Develop and implement strategies and training to accomplish organizational goals and values.

Lead by example: set expectations and monitor delegated activities.

Provide regular performance feedback and effective training for skill development and growth.

Collaborate with other supervisors, quality and engineering personnel to troubleshoot and resolve problems affecting the group.

Work with employees to foster a continuous improvement environment.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Critical Competencies for Success

Bachelor’s degree preferred or 5 years of relevant manufacturing leadership experience.

Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent problem‑solving skills and strong work ethic.

Ability to create and adhere to production processes.

Ability to write clear and accurate reports.

Demonstrated success in leading, training and checking the work of others.

Excellent attention to detail.

Understanding of the following concepts: safety, process and people management, leadership/coaching/facilitation, problem solving, lean/continuous improvement, product/process knowledge, communication, computers and technology; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Performance management, coaching, supervision, fostering teamwork, training and development of employees.

Pay Range $88,000 – $95,000 per year. Salary is based on experience and qualifications.
