Job Description The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, interacting directly with patients during routine health visits or critical health-related testing. The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established practices and procedures. The role involves creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence by explaining procedures to patients and performing blood draws in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. The PSR I will demonstrate leadership behaviors, process excellence, and a strong focus on confidentiality and accuracy in handling patient information. Responsibilities Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties with confidence and precision. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public. Requirement/Must Have Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients. Flexibility and availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime. Experience Minimum of 12 months of relevant experience required. One or more years of phlebotomy experience required due to high patient volume. Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience required. Qualification And Education High school diploma or equivalent required.
