Job Description:

• The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who arrive either for routine health needs or for critical health insights.
• The PSR I draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for laboratory testing while following established procedures and standards.
• This role involves direct patient interaction and requires creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and collecting blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
• The PSR I is expected to demonstrate leadership behaviors while maintaining process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy in handling patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties with confidence while following established practices and procedures.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

• Minimum of 6 months experience required; one or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard and data-entry experience required.
