Admissions Counselor III
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is looking to recruit for an Admissions Counselor III position located out of our Clarkston Campus. This Admissions Counselor III position will be a part of our International Recruitment and Processing Team report to the Associate Director of International Admissions and Recruitment. This position will assist with recruiting international students to Georgia State University and Perimeter College. This position requires strong troubleshooting, strong customer service skills, and the ability to exercise independent judgment in making decisions on interpreting Office, University, and Board of Regents policies relevant to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
Increase prospective recruitment efforts in their given in-state, out-of-state and international markets and to build new international recruitment markets where there are growth opportunities. Attend national, international, and regional college fairs, host prospective student events in their markets and host high school counselor events.
Counsel prospective students and applicants on the admissions requirements and procedures for Perimeter College and Georgia State University. Assist and collaborate with the processing team to review academic and non-academic documents for the purpose of admission to Georgia State University and Perimeter College. This includes complex evaluation of foreign high school and/or college transcripts in a timely and accurate manner.
This position will work collaboratively with Enrollment Services offices college-wide to provide comprehensive international student support.
Serve as a resource and liaison for all internal and external customers on application processing issues and troubleshooting issues as needed.

Qualifications Minimum Hiring Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
Experience working with international populations
Fluent in foreign language
Knowledge of collegiate admissions standards
Knowledge of and experience with Slate/Banner or similar CRM systems
Ability to travel 2-3 weeks in the fall and spring semesters to recruit students
Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds
Weekend and evening hours required when necessary
Valid driver's license
This position may be designated as a Campus Security Authority, ensuring that reported crimes are routed to the appropriate University office.
