Job Summary The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist provides high‑quality, patient‑centered care by assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiology procedures in the catheterization labs. As an integral part of the Cath Lab team, the technologist assists physicians with procedures such as angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements, operates specialized equipment during procedures, provides direct care for patients throughout the procedural process, and maintains a safe, sterile environment.

Qualifications

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Sonography, Respiratory Therapy, LPN, Surgical Tech or Paramedic program.

Must have one of the following credentials: (ARRT‑R) Radiography, (CCT) Certified Cardiographic Technician, (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), State Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist, LPN, Certified Surgical Technologist, or State Paramedic Certification.

RCIS or ARRT – Must obtain within 2 years of hire.
