Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger, transactions, and financial management reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reconciliations and management reports.
Support financial accounting functions and data processing, ensuring accounting procedures are followed using GAAP/FASB, and assist internal controls to mitigate risk and protect assets.
Maintain and support EHC asset and liability accounts, ensuring proper accounting methodology, techniques, policies, and reconciliations.
Support tax reporting and compliance for federal, state, and local taxes.
Create a culture of continuous improvement and adapt to a dynamic environment where needs change and solutions must be flexible.
Build a cohesive work team that collaborates across EHC partners to achieve financial goals and mission.
Play a crucial role in advancing strategic priorities:
Ensuring financial reports reconcile to the system of record.
Partnering with business operations to improve processes for accurate and timely financial reporting.
Ensuring regulatory and state reporting is completed accurately, timely, and reconciles to the system of record.
Ensuring all financial accounting entries are recorded accurately and timely.
Providing leadership, training, ongoing feedback and management to develop team members.
Support strategic focus areas:
Special Projects/Process Improvement
EHC Consolidations
Cash and Accounts Receivable
Fixed Assets and Leased Assets
Liabilities and Debt
Payroll and Benefits
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or a related field.
Six years related experience, including management experience preferably in a related setting (i.e., University or non-profit setting for Emory University, hospital or health related finance for Hospital).
Preferred: Six years of financial analysis or accounting experience, revenue cycle experience, business planning experience and knowledge of clinical service lines; CPA.
