Summary
We are currently representing a mechanical contractor seeking an experienced and drivenProject Manager to lead commercial HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical system projects across the Glendale, CA area. This position is ideal for a results-oriented professional who thrives in a leadership role and excels at managing full-cycle project delivery, building client relationships, and guiding internal teams toward successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of HVAC and mechanical construction projects from start to finish
Manage estimating, procurement, labor forecasting, and scheduling of installation activities
Administer contracts, including tracking change orders, compliance requirements, and terms
Review and maintain project documentation, including proposals, RFIs, contracts, and communication logs
Monitor labor, material usage, and costs to ensure adherence to budgets and quality expectations
Client & Stakeholder Communication Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and project stakeholders
Represent the company in meetings, site visits, and progress reviews
Foster collaboration between vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to support project success
Team Collaboration & Leadership Facilitate preconstruction planning sessions with department heads and field teams
Coordinate between Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Field Operations, and Service teams
Mentor junior staff and project engineers to promote growth and performance
Financial Oversight & Strategic Growth Monitor and manage financial aspects of projects including cost tracking, billing, and cash flow
Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements in project management
Support the pursuit of new project opportunities and market growth initiatives
Participate in internal strategy and innovation efforts
Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
Experience: Minimum 5+ years managing mechanical construction projects ranging from $100K to $25M+
Demonstrated success in cost control, estimating, and project forecasting
Proven ability to cultivate long-term client and vendor relationships
Skills: Strong leadership, team coordination, and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management platforms
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Bid Tracer is a plus
