Duties
These are career conditional appointments. The duty stations for the parks are: Yosemite National Park:
Yosemite, CA 1 Vacancy, Permanent -Career Seasonal, Full-time. Salary Range: $21.33 - $24.88 per hour Golden Gate National Recreation Area:
San Francisco, CA and Marin County, CA 2 Vacancies, Permanent and Permanent -Career Seasonal, Full-time. Salary Range: $26.42 - $30.83 per hour San Juan Island National Historical Park:
WA 1 Vacancy, Permanent - Part-time. Note: A full-time position may be filled at a future date dependent on management's request. Salary Range: $24.59 - $28.70 per hour Kalaupapa National Historical Park:
HI 6 Vacancies, Permanent-Career Seasonal, Full-time. Salary Range: $23.34- $27.23 per hour Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) rate of 9.28% Career-Seasonal positions are subject to release and recall procedures. A permanent career-seasonal position includes all the benefits of permanent employment but does not provide employment on a full year-round basis. Selectees will be in a
non-pay/non-duty status for at least 2 weeks to 6 months per year based on project requirements or weather conditions.
Selectees are guaranteed to work at least 6 months per year but not more than 50 weeks per year, with the work schedule to be determined upon appointment.
Non-pay status varies upon Park locations. Requirements
The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Qualifications
Applicants must be physically fit and, as required in the Office of Personnel Management Qualifications Handbook X-118C, must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the job elements listed below to perform the duties of the position at the level for which they are applying. A specific length of time and experience is not required. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. You must meet the 2 point level on the screen out factor/element and an average of level 2 on all factors/elements listed. To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision (SCREEN OUT) Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair etc. Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic). Use of Measuring Equipment. Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprint reading). Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment. Knowledge of Materials.
