Quality Inspector

Performs inspections and audits on aircraft interior components, materials, and processes to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, FAA regulations, and company quality standards. Utilizes precision measuring instruments and quality assurance methodologies to identify defects and ensure traceability.
Responsibilities
Inspects incoming products to verify proper documentation and conformance to purchase orders and engineering specifications.
Inspects aircraft wiring assemblies to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards.
Performs receiving inspections and generates formal inspection reports.
Completes FAA and customer-required certification documents.
Creates and maintains First Article Inspection (FAI) reports in accordance with AS9102 or equivalent.
Verifies inclusion of all material and process certificates for traceability.
Coordinates with stakeholders to accurately describe nonconforming conditions for rejected parts.
Works closely with FAA DAR and assists with part marking and packaging as required.
Keeps management informed of inspection findings, quality issues, and corrective action progress.
Maintains a neat, organized work area and assists with general daily housekeeping of the department.
Meets target hours and completes schedules as set by supervision.
Maintains regular attendance including being at work, being on time to work, and working full shifts.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent with demonstrated skills required.
Minimum of three years’ experience in aircraft interior inspection or related aerospace quality role.
Strong time‑management and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to coordinate and handle multiple priorities within deadlines and take initiative to produce results with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, etc.
Familiarity with AS9100 preferred.
Ability to travel as required.
Ability to work outside of core business hours as required.

Ability to read blueprints, pack slips, invoices, and other customer supplied data.
Familiar with engineering programs.
Capability to determine sample size for lots.
Mathematical knowledge and ability to apply toward problem solving.
Strong time‑management and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to coordinate and handle multiple priorities within deadlines and take initiative to produce results with minimal supervision.
Ability to communicate in English (read, write, and verbally).
Familiarity with AS9100 preferred.
Ability to travel as required.
Ability to work outside of core business hours as required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to climb and work on step stools and/or ladders.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently; up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Ability to reach overhead.
Ability to work in a non‑dust‑free environment.
Ability to pass Jaeger J‑1 in at least one eye, natural or corrected vision for near vision acuity.
Full range of motion with both hands.
Ability to work in stooping, kneeling or standing position and in cramped areas.
