Position Summary We are a private equity–backed behavioral health company expanding our interventional psychiatry and ketamine program across New York. The Medical Director will oversee two clinics and 4–6 advanced practice providers delivering a tiered ketamine treatment model (IV, intranasal/Spravato, and oral/sublingual). The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial physician who combines clinical rigor with growth‑minded leadership and enjoys building relationships that expand access to care. Preference for a physician who can bring or transition an existing patient panel/practice to the clinic.

Clinical Oversight & Safety

Lead all ketamine/esketamine services in accordance with FDA, DEA, NYS, and REMS requirements.

Maintain and update protocols for IV, intranasal (Spravato + compounded), and oral/sublingual ketamine, including monitoring and discharge standards.

Oversee patient selection, informed consent, and treatment planning to ensure appropriateness and continuity of care.

Review adverse events and implement quality improvements.

Provider Leadership

Supervise 4–6 NPs/PAs across both sites; provide case consultation, chart review, and skills development.

Run periodic clinical case conferences and ensure consistent documentation and REMS compliance.

Growth & Referral Development

Partner with operations/marketing to build and maintain referring provider relationships (psychiatry, BH groups, PCPs, pain, TMS, PHP/IOP).

Participate in community and professional outreach to increase TRD/PTSD/anxiety referrals.

Help refine service offerings (induction → maintenance → boosters) to support retention and higher lifetime value per patient.

Provide clinical credibility in meetings with payers or large group practices, when needed.

Program & Compliance

Ensure the sites remain Spravato-REMS certified and staff remain current on training.

Support outcome tracking (PHQ-9, GAD-7), safety logs, and KPI dashboards.

Qualifications

MD or DO with active, unrestricted New York license (or ability to obtain).

Board certified in Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, or Psychiatry.

Experience growing an outpatient practice—e.g., building referral networks, presenting to community providers, or expanding a service line.

Demonstrated ability to work with and supervise NPs/PAs in a protocol-driven setting.

Familiarity with ketamine/esketamine safety, dissociation management, and BP monitoring.

Strong relationship-building skills; comfortable representing the practice externally.

Bonus: Physician with an existing patient panel or aligned practice who can transition patients into the ketamine/TRD program to accelerate census growth.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive base compensation with Medical Director stipend.

Profit‑sharing / equity participation (Performance Incentive Units) in a high‑growth, PE-backed organization.

Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, malpractice).

Flexible scheduling; part-time or full-time arrangements considered.

Opportunity to shape the future of interventional psychiatry and expand innovative mental health services across the region.

We believe in putting the right people in the right seats, regardless of background, and we’re always looking for individuals who bring fresh thinking, grit, and a drive to make a difference.

Thank you for considering a role with one of our companies. We’re excited to learn more about you.
