Utility Technician
The
Utility Technician
will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot clean and black utilities used for the operation of the Biological Vaccine Facility and supporting infrastructure. Responsibilities
Able to follow directions, handle basic repairs, and complete daily assignments with minimal supervision. Execute more complex projects and diagnose problems working alongside a more senior technician. Develop utility skills through OJT, by executing assignments with a more senior technician, and by completing formal GSK training. Assure all documentation (logbooks, permits, work orders) is complete and accurate. Stay current with all required GSK site, EHS, Regulatory and Global training. Adhere to safety procedures, safe work practices, and standards. Progression requirement of this role is to have the skills to progress in two years. Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent 3+ years' experience in water systems Experience running an industrial grade boiler Open to working any shift Preferred Qualifications
Trade school graduate, Associate Degree, military or vocational-technical school training. Pharma or quality environment experience Purified water/treatment experience Experience working on process and utilities systems. Basic computer skills. Ability to troubleshoot and a general mechanical aptitude. Good verbal and written communication skills GSK is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
