Role: Operations Supervisor We foster a diverse and inclusive work environment that promotes collaboration and career growth. Furlani Foods is seeking an Operations Supervisor with a passion for driving operational excellence in a cutting‑edge facility, who will thrive on solving complex problems and leading high‑performing teams.

As the Operations Supervisor, you’ll oversee the daily operations of our high‑speed production facility, managing a team of 58‑62 associates and collaborating with key support departments like Quality Assurance, Warehousing, Sanitation, and Maintenance. You’ll ensure seamless operations, drive continuous improvement, and lead your team in fostering a culture of total employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead & Manage Production : Oversee daily production and packaging operations on two high-speed lines, ensuring optimal performance and product flow.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally : Work closely with support departments (QA, Warehousing, Sanitation, Maintenance) to ensure smooth integration and alignment of production goals.

Drive Operational Excellence : Optimize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by addressing bottlenecks, minimizing downtime, and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles.

Foster Team Engagement : Lead, coach, and develop your team, promoting involvement in continuous improvement initiatives and problem‑solving activities.

Ensure Safety & Compliance : Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and food safety standards, including GMP, SQF, and HACCP protocols.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Improvement in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)

Reduction in machine downtime and food safety incidents

Health & Safety incident prevention

Enhanced product quality and reduction of waste

Qualifications

Experienced supervisor with a hands‑on approach, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to inspire and develop high‑performing teams.

2‑3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and Six Sigma methodologies.

Strong leadership and team development skills.

Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

A commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Travel required: Specifically, but not limited to within Canada and USA, once or twice a year for training.

Bonus Points If You

Are bilingual in English and Spanish.

Have formal Lean training (Greenbelt certification).

Schedule 3rd Shift Sunday to Thursday: 10 pm to 7 am
