Assistant Nurse Manager – Southeast 5 General Surgery Unit
Highland Hospital’s Assistant Nurse Manager in the Southeast 5 General Surgery Unit offers a flexible schedule and the chance to work with a strong leadership team.
Responsibilities
Provide professional nursing services, lead nursing staff, and manage operational processes to serve patients and families.
Collaborate with health care providers and team members to achieve patient and organizational outcomes.
Use the nursing process, leadership theory, and evidence‑based practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services.
Perform within five core performance domains: Clinical Practice, Service Excellence, Professional Development and Communication, Research & Evidence‑Based Practice, and Organization Contributions & Growth.
Support standards of care, consult, mentor, and act as a resource for team members.
Participate in human‑resources activities including recruitment, retention, and workforce planning.
Contribute to unit, program, or service level goal achievement through education, orientation, precepting, quality improvement, business operations, safety, standards development, and recruitment initiatives.
Job Requirements
3–5 years recent RN experience in an acute care setting.
BS in Nursing preferred.
Licensed by New York State as a Registered Nurse.
Current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare providers preferred).
Compensation Pay Range: $96,102.52 – $124,787.11. Compensation will be set within this range based on market data, education, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
