Medium-Sized Full-Service CPA Firm Job Summary: We are partnered with a medium-sized full-service CPA firm in Lincolnshire, Illinois, and seeking an experienced and dynamic Tax Manager to join our team. This hybrid role offers a blend of in-office and remote work, allowing for flexibility while overseeing tax planning, compliance, and advisory services for a diverse portfolio of clients, including individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical tax knowledge, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service. Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee all aspects of tax engagements, including tax planning, compliance, and consulting services for a variety of clients. Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and trusts. Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and performance feedback. Work closely with clients to develop tax strategies that align with their financial goals. Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and compliance-related documentation. Research and stay updated on current tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure clients receive the most effective tax solutions. Collaborate with other departments within the firm to provide comprehensive financial and accounting services. Build and maintain strong client relationships and assist in client development and business growth initiatives. Participate in firm-wide initiatives such as training, staff development, and process improvements. Qualifications: CPA certification required. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of tax experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax compliance, planning, and consulting. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, UltraTax) and Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with clients in various industries (e.g., real estate, manufacturing, healthcare, professional services). Familiarity with international tax issues or multi-state tax compliance. Strong business development skills and ability to grow the firm’s client base. Ability to lead, coach, and develop a team of tax professionals. Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
