Clinical Informatics Analyst - Med Tech (MT) or Medical Lab Technician(MLT)

*MT (Med Tech) or MLT (Medical Lab Technician) required Job Purpose or Mission: Responsible for supporting clinical information systems within the hospital network, including planning, development, training, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of assigned Clinical Information Systems. Acts as a liaison between I/S and Patient Care Areas to resolve daily operational issues of hospital's clinical systems. Essential Job Functions: Functions as a clinical liaison between IS Department and Patient Care Areas. Performance Standards: Provides education to clinical staff on Information System's clinical applications. Assists clinical staff in troubleshooting computer issues. Collaborates on the development and distribution of information to clinical staff. Provides cross-training for IS staff regarding clinical information systems. Works with patient care departments to identify enhancement/change requests and communicates feasibility and outcomes with I/S technical staff. Provides clinical expertise in evaluating and supporting the implementation and maintenance of clinical information applications. Performance Standards: Performs master file and table maintenance for applications. Collaborates with technical experts to ensure programs meet user needs. Develops education, literature, and training programs to optimize user interaction. Maintains daily functions of clinical applications. Participates in system testing before implementation. Ensures security of applications based on real-world use. Maintains knowledge of current healthcare technology trends. Performs other duties as assigned. Experience Requirements: Analyst I: Healthcare clinical experience (3-5 years), bedside patient care preferred. Analyst II: Same as Analyst I, with an additional 2+ years in clinical or healthcare informatics. Educational Requirements: Current Louisiana license as a clinical professional required. *MT or MLT (Medical Lab Technician) required. Special Skills, License, and Knowledge: Experience with personal computers (2-3 years), including email and internet use. Hardware troubleshooting experience is helpful. HIPAA Requirements: Maintain knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA regulations related to medical records, patient demographics, lab results, billing information, and patient complaints. Safety Requirements: Maintain knowledge of and adherence to safety practices including incident reporting, exposure control, and hand washing protocols. #J-18808-Ljbffr
