https://www.hdrinc.com/our-story As an ITS / Traffic Engineer, you will: Design and implement traffic control and communication systems including CCTV, DMS, traffic detectors, and tolling equipment. Develop practice areas related to ITS program management, TSM&O, ATMS, TMC, ATIS, and emerging technologies. Design & implement standards, open road tolling, active traffic management, and power systems. Create plans, specifications, estimates, and conduct systems engineering analysis. Conduct research and prepare reports with guidance from senior staff. Lead small project deliverables under QA/QC oversight. Develop and present technical materials to clients with senior guidance. This role requires a governmental background check. Perform additional duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's in Electrical or Civil Engineering. 5+ years on large projects with project management experience. Proficiency in MicroStation, Microsoft Office. Experience with IEEE, NTCIP, MUTCD, NEMA, ATC, NFPA standards. Experience with multiple state DOTs. Leadership in professional organizations. Local candidates preferred. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. Experience in traffic analysis and design. PE or P.Eng license. Hands-on CAD experience (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Guide Sign). Operational analysis experience (HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, Aimsun). Safety analysis experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong communication skills. Commitment to company culture.
