The University of Houston Andy and Barbara Gessner College of Nursing at Central Campus is seeking an outstanding candidate to teach in the new post masters, Doctor of Nursing Practice program. This 9-month, promotion eligible, non-tenure-track (PE-NTT) position is for a Family Nurse Practitioner with a DNP or PhD who demonstrates exceptional leadership, scholarship, and teaching excellence. The anticipated start date is as early as August 2023, and the search will continue until the position is filled. Department and Salary

Ongoing curriculum development and evaluation Classroom and clinical instruction in undergraduate and graduate programs using on-site, simulation, online, and distance education strategies Participation in college and university committees Engagement in scholarship, service, and academic advising Faculty responsibilities include some travel and collaboration within a supportive environment that values innovative education and research. Qualifications
Doctorate in nursing or related field required; Master's in nursing from an accredited school if the doctorate is in a related field National certification in clinical specialty required Unencumbered RN license in Texas Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner Excellent clinical and communication skills At least 2 years of teaching experience Peer-reviewed publications preferred Application Requirements
