The College of Nursing is seeking a doctorally prepared Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join the CRNA faculty team in our Nurse Anesthesiology (NA) specialty of our Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. As part of the CRNA faculty team, they will teach and engage in continuous quality improvement in courses, advise and mentor students in the NA specialty, and serve on DNP project committees. Other responsibilities will include engaging in scholarship and College of Nursing governance activities.
FTE flexibility depending on the needs of the specific program and the incumbent.

Teaching
Duties & Responsibilities
Teaches courses in the DNP program within their scope of expertise, including clinical and didactic courses related to the NA specialty of the DNP program. Serve as clinical supervising faculty for students in CRNA clinical rotations, maintaining and growing cooperative relationships with practice leaders at clinical experiential learning sites. Advise and mentor students in the DNP program and supervise work on DNP projects, creating a learning environment that facilitates student learning and achieving expected program outcomes. Create a learning environment that facilitates student learning and achievement of expected program outcomes. Assess and evaluate student learning in the learning environment. Participate in curriculum design and evaluation of program outcomes. Pursue continuous quality improvements in course. Participate in the planning and assessment of our program(s) through faculty governance and quality improvement activities. Maintain a collaborative working relationship with other faculty and staff. Maintain compliance with required agency and college policies.
Scholarship
Develop and maintain academic excellence through clinical and educational scholarship in their area of expertise. Disseminate their scholarly work at local, regional, national, and international professional conferences and journal publications. Participate in teams to obtain funding to support student education and training. Maintain clinical practice proficiency by engaging in practice, either directly or indirectly. Maintain certification in advanced nursing specialty.
Service
Engage with faculty, the administrative leadership team, and students in furthering the mission and goals of the College of Nursing. Participate in special projects and faculty governance activities, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications

All Ranks
To be considered for each rank minimum requirements:
Hold a doctoral degree (e.g., DNP, PhD, EdD). National certification as a CRNA. Provide evidence of unencumbered Arizona RN and APRN licenses prior to first day of employment with the College of Nursing. One year experience teaching. Compliance with immunizations, CPR, and other agency or College requirements and provide evidence of current status.
Clinical Assistant Professor
Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, or DNP) in nursing or a related field. Evidence of teaching and clinical practice or systems leadership experience, through certification, or equivalent preparation.
Clinical Associate Professor
Must meet Clinical Assistant Professor minimums. Four (4) years of teaching experience. At least two years of teaching at the baccalaureate or higher level.
Clinical Professor
Must meet Clinical Associate Professor minimums. Extensive clinical experience. Extensive teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching diverse student populations. Record of professional scholarship. Experience teaching in an advanced practice nursing program. Experience with online teaching methodologies.
