Oversees the administration and compliance of a 401(k) plan for a 20,000-employee company, ensuring smooth operations, regulatory adherence, and effective participant support. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the 401(k) Plan operates in compliance with plan documents and regulatory requirements. Oversee all plan administration, including government filings, compliance testing, and participant notices. Maintain and update administrative procedures, optimizing processes for efficiency and accuracy. Act as the primary liaison for plan vendors, recordkeepers, and auditors. Conduct regular data audits to verify payroll deductions, loan repayments, and status changes. Collaborate with the benefits administrator to approve hardship and termination distributions and verify eligibility/vesting for rehires and acquisitions. Partner with the recordkeeper to develop and implement employee communication strategies. Qualifications: 10+ years of experience managing 401(k) plans, including compliance with IRS, ERISA, and DOL regulations. Expertise in spreadsheet and data analysis tools. Advanced degree preferred. Relevant industry certifications such as SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, PHR are preferred. Experience with HRIS systems and external payroll providers. Seniority level
