Guardian Security was founded in 1976, and we have been serving the people of the Pacific Northwest with their security and fire protection needs since then, for nearly 50 years! We are locally owned and operated, with four offices located in Yakima, Tacoma, Bellingham, and the SODO district of Seattle.

The Role

The Data Administrator is responsible for entering alarm system data into Mastermind (MAS), supporting technicians with system setup and troubleshooting, and assisting customers remotely with system access and issue resolution.

Schedule

: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, M-F.

This position is fully in office at our Seattle location. ( 1743 1st Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134)

Pay:

$24 - $28 per hour

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Creates alarm accounts in 3rd party apps Creates alarm accounts in Mastermind Runs reports in 3rd party apps and Mastermind Aids in troubleshooting FWOs on all system types Maintains a professional, calm, and pleasant voice image always, when communicating with customers both internal and external. Efficiently and accurately enters and maintains all customer account data and activity in appropriate systems. Performs or participates in special projects as determined by management. Place alarm systems in test. Verify all signals of alarm system are tested and verified before accounts are billed out Register communication equipment for alarm systems Assists on call techs after hours via phone calls

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education And/or Experience

High School diploma, GED or equivalent. Fast and accurate data entry skills Previous experience with multi-line phones preferred. Familiarity with Alarm Panels, camera systems, and access control systems

Certificates, Licenses, Or Registrations

None required.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:

Proficient with MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook. Internet savvy to navigate both internal and external sites.

Physical Demands

The physical requirements outlined below reflect those necessary for an employee to successfully carry out the essential duties of this role. This position is predominantly sedentary (approximately 99%) and involves frequent use of the fingers, hands, and arms for tasks such as operating a mouse, keyboard, and monitors. Both near and distance vision are essential. While performing job responsibilities, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move items weighing up to 10 pounds, and occasionally up to 25 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in a typical cubicle type office environment with overhead lighting and temperature control, and low noise levels.
