The Vice President General Manager of the MSO plans, organizes, directs, and controls the Managed Services Organization (MSO). Reporting to the COO, this role has oversight of MSO operations and P&L ownership, including general administrative, patient care, professional services, and other related functions. The GM directs daily operations and manages functions such as provider contracting, provider education, utilization management, coding, quality management, network management, and case management. Duties And Responsibilities Responsible for the overall growth and success of the MSO across all functions, either directly or through matrix management. Manage MSO P&L/Budget, identify growth and cost-saving opportunities, and develop business cases and project plans to implement these opportunities. Manage a team of clinical and administrative consultants to oversee provider clinics in population health management, aiming to improve quality of care, patient satisfaction, and total cost of care. Collaborate with health plan partners on growth and improvement initiatives. Build and cultivate relationships with potential provider partners. Support providers in achieving their financial performance goals. Hold regular Joint Operations Committee meetings with MSO partners. Work with management and physicians to establish programs and practices that promote cost-effective, high-quality care. Analyze financial and utilization reports to identify improvement opportunities and develop projects to address them. Communicate progress, challenges, and issues effectively to senior leadership and partner providers. Conduct regular evaluations of implemented action plans based on financial and clinical performance reviews. Contribute to the development of programs and services to meet patient, physician, and staff needs. Provide strategic leadership to ensure equitable resource distribution and high-quality, cost-effective healthcare delivery. Oversee day-to-day operations, including the development and monitoring of service, quality, and utilization standards. Continuously evaluate and improve service delivery by promoting best practice models. Develop short- and long-term plans to enhance departmental efficiency. Work with managers and supervisors to develop and enforce policies, standards, practices, and procedures. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. Qualifications / Education / Licenses 10+ years' experience in primary/ambulatory care, value-based care, health insurance, healthcare, population health management, or related leadership roles. Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience. In-depth understanding of MSO metrics and the ability to adjust strategies to meet goals. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to diverse organizational groups, including leadership teams. Ability to build strong relationships with health plans and providers.
