The primary duties of the Structure Representative include technical oversight and contract administration of bridge construction projects. This involves inspection, planning, scheduling, and coordination of construction inspection, quality assurance inspections of bridge and transportation structures, including foundations, substructure, and superstructure. The role requires coordination with contractors, supervising inspectors, surveyors, and materials testers, as well as documentation of project progress and payment. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate daily records of construction site activity, producing reports on progress, safety, quality, schedule, and budget status, and supporting technical calculations related to shoring, falsework, and quantities. Preferred Qualifications
BS in Civil Engineering Construction Management or related degree 5 years’ experience in construction inspection, preferably as a Structure Representative on California Highway projects California PE license required This position requires a valid driver's license, compliance with HDR's vehicle policy, and participation in pre-employment and ongoing drug testing as per company policy. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or relevant experience At least 5 years of progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects Fundamental understanding of contracts, codes, and laws governing construction Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Teamwork skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction software Excellent verbal and written communication skills Active participation in our employee-owned culture Our Culture and Benefits
