Base pay range
$130,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr Tax Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Manager to oversee and manage all tax-related activities for our organization. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with tax regulations, provide strategic tax planning, and lead a team of tax professionals to optimize our tax position.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns Develop tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and enhance profitability Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, and keep up-to-date with changes in tax legislation Conduct tax research and provide insights on tax implications of business decisions Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and training Respond to tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting Prepare and review tax provisions for financial statements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA certification is required Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management or public accounting Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
