Location: Remote – EST Hours Compensation: $115,000–$135,000 Position Summary We are seeking a
Fund Accounting Manager
to join a dynamic investment management firm. This role will oversee the accounting and operations for multiple investment funds, ensuring accurate financial reporting, trade reconciliation, and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
fund accounting, financial reporting, and investment operations . This position works closely with senior leadership and external service providers, including
prime brokers, fund administrators, and trading desks , to support the firm’s investment activities. Key Responsibilities Oversee the
day-to-day accounting and operational processes
for investment funds, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Prepare and review
daily position reporting , including reconciliation of cash balances, trades, and security positions. Monitor and resolve
trade breaks
by coordinating with
prime brokers, administrators, and trading counterparties . Assist in the calculation and review of
management fees, performance fees, and investor allocations . Prepare financial statements,
NAV calculations , and investor reports in compliance with GAAP and fund agreements. Review and analyze fund expenses, ensuring proper classification and allocation. Support annual audits by coordinating with external auditors and preparing required schedules. Assist with tax reporting requirements, including
K-1s and other regulatory filings . Implement
process improvements and automation
to enhance efficiency in fund accounting operations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required . 2+ years of experience in public accounting
or
fund accounting within an investment firm, hedge fund, or private equity . Experience working with
fund administrators, prime brokers, and trading desks
preferred. CPA or CFA preferred . Strong proficiency in
Excel
and experience with
fund accounting software
(e.g., Advent Geneva, Investran, or similar). Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a
fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
while operating on
