Position Overview
We are seeking substation design engineers in various locations. Responsibilities include the conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design of substations, including material procurement, construction, and commissioning/startup support through energization. Design tasks involve developing physical, electrical, civil, and communication design studies, calculations, drawings, exhibits, and specifications. Under the supervision of a project engineer, design engineers contribute to project execution, quality control, and coordination with discipline-specific groups such as Distribution, Transmission, Grounding, Protection, Civil, Communication, and Transmission & Distribution Engineering. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering Design engineering experience is a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Commitment to quality and accuracy Willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules Fundamental knowledge of power engineering principles and standards Ability to progress toward PE licensure is encouraged Eligible for client-mandated drug and background checks Occasional travel and driving required No sponsorship required for employment visa now or in the future Compensation and Benefits
