Tesla . What To Expect
We are looking for an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer responsible for integrating industrial and commercial utility systems controls into new and existing facilities. This includes server and PLC design, HMI development, instrumentation selection, configuration, calibration, system operation, and commissioning. A strong background in mechanical and chemical systems instrumentation and controls design, construction, and programming is required, along with proven ability to develop scalable server architectures for plant-wide SCADA systems. What You'll Do
Maintain strong communication with all stakeholders to ensure lessons learned are integrated into current and future facilities. Provide onsite support during construction and commissioning of instrumentation and controls equipment, as well as mechanical, chemical, or electrical equipment with factory or field-installed controls systems. Design, configure, and commission industrial control systems (PLCs, HMIs, networks), including wiring diagrams, safety protocols, and testing. Manage database, server, and folder architecture. Develop and implement PLC control systems, design user interfaces for facility management, and optimize data integration protocols for system performance and communication. Support development of alarm rationalization techniques. Audit instrumentation and controls performance, and recommend system modifications to add value. Conduct manufacturing equipment design reviews and site visits to review construction and utility connections. What You'll Bring
Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience. 2-5 years of hands-on experience as a Controls or Applications Engineer in industrial or high-tech environments. Proficiency in configuring control networks, PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff), safety systems, and HMIs (Ignition, Siemens Desigo, WinCC, ALC). Knowledge of selecting circuit protectors, sensors, safety hardware, PLC hardware, VFDs, and instrumentation. Experience transitioning products from concept to production is desired. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C, VB is a plus. Experience creating schematics in CAD (AutoCAD) and using 3D CAD tools like Revit is a plus. Strong troubleshooting, data analysis, and teamwork skills. Ability to travel domestically and internationally. Benefits

Expected salary ranges from $88,000 to $174,000 annually, plus bonuses and benefits. Compensation varies based on experience, location, and other factors. Details will be provided upon offer. Additional Details
