The SW QA Lead position is an individual contributor SW QA Engineer position with expanded responsibilities.
In your role as SW QA Lead at Kohler Ventures you will:
Work directly with the Head of Software, software/hardware engineering team, and product teams. Build the forward-looking vision and lead the effort to ensure the entire development lifecycle takes a quality first approach. Help deploy and integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipeline. Establish testing patterns, best practices, and increase test coverage (in partnership with engineers). Conduct technical reviews for new features and identify quality concerns. Participate in various scrum meetings to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, estimates, or potential problems.
Skills/Requirements
You hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience as a Software QA Engineer, at least 3 years in mobile. Experience with functional, regression, and end-to-end testing. Experience with test automation tools/frameworks such as Appium, Espresso or XCUI. Experience validating iOS, Android, or embedded firmware for IoT devices. Ability to translate business requirements into test plans and develop test automation at all layers of the software stack. Minimal travel, both domestically and internationally, is needed. Availability to work outside of standard business hours to be able to collaborate with teams and vendors across multiple time zones. Experience in development using Python.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge in software and hardware/firmware and information security for cloud and IoT devices.

The base salary range for this position is $126,900 - $158,600. The actual base salary offered to a candidate may be higher than the approved range. This will vary depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. This position is subject to Area Salary Differential (Cost of Living Adjustment) that ranges from 24.5%-30% of base salary for the San Francisco Bay area. The base salary range including ASD for this position is $164,970 - $206,180 depending on location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and a special project incentive. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision and 401k.
