Job Summary: A Tax Principal collaborates with partners, staff, and clients to plan, manage, review, and complete client engagements. We seek a motivated leader who will become an integral part of our firm and lead in our office.
Our goal is to help clients minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with evolving tax laws. We offer consulting and compliance services, including stock option planning, international tax advice, and expert consultation on investments, mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and liquidations.
Responsibilities:
Manage and review complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts.
Stay updated on tax law changes and advise clients accordingly.
Lead tax engagements from planning through execution and delivery.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service.
Collaborate with team members to integrate practice development and client service.
Lead client meetings and presentations, communicating tax concepts clearly.
Monitor engagement profitability, managing budgets and client expectations.
Participate in business development activities to attract new clients.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting.
Active CPA license.
10+ years of Corporate Tax experience in public accounting.
Knowledge of ASC 740 and FAS 109.
Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess) and Microsoft Office.
Experience in business development and client relationship management.
Proven ability to oversee complex engagements and develop tax strategies.
Experience supervising and developing staff.
Additional Details: Position is remote, at the Director level, full-time, within the Accounting/Auditing and Finance function, serving clients in the Technology, Information, and Internet industries.
