Job Summary:
The Tax Principal works closely with partners, staff, and clients to plan, manage, review, and complete client engagements. This role requires leadership and initiative, serving as a key contributor to the firm's success. Our professionals aim to minimize clients’ tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with evolving tax laws. We provide consulting on stock options, international tax, and advise on investments, mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and liquidations. Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage and review complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts Stay updated on tax law changes, advising clients accordingly Lead tax engagements from planning to delivery, including budgeting and monitoring fees Develop strong client relationships through exceptional service Lead client meetings and presentations, clearly articulating tax concepts Monitor engagement profitability and manage budgets and client expectations Participate in business development activities, including networking and proposals Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting Active CPA license 10+ years of Passthrough Tax experience in public accounting Experience with partnership and S corporation tax returns (e.g., Form 1065, 1120S) Knowledge of multi-state tax filings and nexus issues Proven ability to oversee complex client engagements and lead staff Proficiency with tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess) and MS Office - Remote work option Senior Level:
