Electrical Maintenance Technician
in Vienna, VA. We are seeking a skilled professional to perform installation, maintenance, testing, calibration, and commissioning of electrical systems and components across low, medium, and high voltage systems. Responsibilities
Install, maintain, test, calibrate, and commission electrical systems and components. Act as "Employee in Charge" on some projects, ensuring efficient planning and safety. Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and service documents. Maintain personal support equipment, PPE, tools, and test equipment. Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed to protect yourself and others. Identify and wear appropriate PPE for tasks. Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Switching Plans. Troubleshoot electrical issues using digital multimeters, clamp meters, infrared scanners, etc. Perform protective relay calibration and commissioning. Verify control wiring and perform equipment switching, isolation, and grounding. Maintain and inspect equipment such as circuit breakers, switchgear, transformers, and related systems. Record test data accurately using Power DB and Maximo. Assist in start-up services for switchgear and electrical systems up to 138 kV. Conduct safety meetings and ensure compliance with environmental and safety policies. Build strong team and client relationships. Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in similar environments. Leadership skills and ability to manage work in dynamic settings. Proficiency in technical reading and interpretation. Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, NETA practices, and safety procedures. Experience in facilities maintenance, electrical systems, controls, and life safety systems, especially in data centers or critical environments. Ability to work in confined spaces, on ladders, and lift heavy equipment. Active licensing/certification as required by location. Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance. Abilities
Lift at least 100 pounds, work at heights up to 60 feet, and perform physically demanding tasks. Climb ladders, scaffolds, and operate aerial lifts safely. Good vision, color perception, and communication skills. Recognize problems and apply general rules to find solutions. Employment Details
