What will I do as an MIT with Insomnia Cookies?
Perform as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when the Store Operations Manager (GM) is not present. Supervise, train, and coach 2-5 team members involved in cookie sales and customer deliveries. Lead onboarding and initial training for new hourly staff. Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires (Cookie Crew, Shift Leaders, Delivery Drivers) in the absence of the manager. Assist the Store Operations Manager with ordering, inventory control, and scheduling. Ensure staff adherence to Insomnia Cookies' standards (baking, uniform, policies). Drive upselling and ensure excellent customer service from all team members. Desired skills and experience:
At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail setting Experience conducting in-person interviews for hourly staff Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems Proficiency with MS Office, Word, and Applicant Tracking Systems Ability to work a 4-5 day week, including 1-2 mid-to-late shifts (Thurs-Sun) Must be 18+ and legally eligible to work in the U.S. About us:
