The primary purpose of the Assistant Store Manager is to support the Store Manager in daily store operations, ensuring maximum sales and profitability through effective merchandising, expense and inventory management, team training and development, human resources, and delivering outstanding customer service. Responsibilities
Oversee the quality and performance of the retail staff. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures. Lead by example to motivate the team and achieve store goals. Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing store personnel. Support performance evaluations and provide feedback to the Store Manager. Help manage expenses and develop strategies to meet budget goals. Monitor store operations to minimize loss and ensure compliance with safety and business standards. Train employees in selling and merchandising techniques. Maintain high customer service standards to ensure a friendly shopping environment. Assist with merchandise inventory counts and other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Must have at least one year of retail management experience, strong communication skills, strategic thinking, professionalism, analytical abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and willingness to travel within the district are required. Physical Requirements
Stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel are necessary. Additional Information
