Territory Business Manager (Addiction) – Northern Illinois A key role that maximizes sales of VIVITROL® in the Northern Illinois territory. The successful candidate will live in the territory, require limited overnight travel, and possess strong product, disease‑state, and market knowledge, as well as proven selling skills.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate a deep understanding of VIVITROL®, alcohol and opioid dependence, and related products in the marketplace.

Utilize approved sales aids, studies, and reprints while applying superior communication and listening skills with healthcare providers.

Identify and call on a sufficient number of healthcare provider targets to ensure proper use of Alkermes products, continually refining target lists based on the latest data.

Leverage all available resources and programs (samples, speaker programs, etc.) to grow business, and maintain close communication with the District Business Leader (DBL) at all times.

Develop business plans as required by the DBL and complete all administrative tasks accurately and on time.

Exercise fiscal control of operational expenses (vehicle, fuel, office supplies, calls, travel, meals, and entertainment).

Collaborate productively with related positions, including other representatives, DBL, Managed Markets, Marketing, Key Accounts, and headquarters personnel.

Abide by all Alkermes policies and regulations regarding promotional compliance and sample accountability.

Qualifications

BA/BS degree.

1–2 years of pharma/biotech/med‑device/B2B sales experience and/or extensive market knowledge.

Must reside within the territory.

Valid driver’s license in good standing.

Must be able to obtain or already possess any required credentialing for healthcare provider access.

Preferred Skills And Knowledge Requirements

3+ years of successful pharma/biotech sales experience in the Addiction Medicine/Mental Health space.

Proven track record of sales success.

Strong organizational and administrative skills.

Excellent analytical, strategic, and influencing abilities.

Willingness to travel overnight as needed.

Compensation The annual base salary ranges from $125,000 to $155,000, plus a performance‑based incentive bonus ranging to $45,000 annually. Eligible for participation in Alkermes’ long‑term incentive program.
