Position Overview As an Operations Specialist – Omni you’ll be responsible for the operational execution within the Pet Care Center with a specific focus on our Omni channel. You’ll support efficient execution of all Omni channel processes such as Ship From Store (SFS) operations, ensuring consistency with product picking, packaging, and shipping. Your work will help reduce time spent on SFS operations through process efficiencies.
Responsibilities
Support effective and efficient operations across the Pet Care Center.
Assist in daily SFS picking, packing, and shipping.
Unload and stock merchandise according to operational guidelines, ensuring accurate inventory.
Process register transactions to create a positive guest experience.
Operate within our selling model and support guest interactions.
Adhere to and promote established safety procedures.
Perform routine housekeeping tasks to maintain the professional image of the Pet Care Center.
Participate in quarterly and annual physical inventory counts.
Complete Omni Channel and SFS projects following policies and procedures.
Analyze on‑site conditions vs. written plan, recommend adjustments, and coordinate resolutions.
Coordinate with partners to ensure fixturing, floor plans, stocking, and SFS equipment meet plan requirements.
Communicate daily updates on unfinished orders and correction information to leadership.
Support special projects as needed.
Other Essential Duties
Utilize selling behaviors to provide an amazing guest experience.
Contribute to a safe environment by following training and safety protocols.
Engage as a collaborative teammate to address pet health and wellness needs.
Participate in developmental programs for continued career growth.
Education and Experience
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (GED) or relevant work experience.
Proficiency in mathematics and strong communication skills.
Professional appearance and genuine interest in animal care.
Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills for public and partner interactions.
Supervisory Responsibility None.
Work Environment This role supports key operational hours with weekend availability. Duties are largely indoor and involve bending, kneeling, moving merchandise up to 50 pounds, and standing for extended periods. Follow safety precautions to avoid injury.
Contact Continuous contact with the public at the Pet Care Center and related events. Coordinating with other departments, distribution centers, and support centers for merchandise returns, parts ordering, repairs, vaccination clinics, events, and vendor meetings.
